A few months ago, my mom brought me three ponies from a thrift store. They were in rather rough shape. There was a Moondancer with a beautiful white body, but severe glitter loss on her symbols, and her horn cut off. There was a nice little Cotton Candy, but she had a few cancer spots and some pink marks, plus she was kind of grungy all over. Then there was a Baby Yo-Yo, but her hair had faded to white and there were some pink marks on the right side of her body.I cleaned them up as best I could, gave them all ribbons, and put them on top of my art supply box. Not the most convenient place for them, but that's where they fit. Every time I get out my inking pens, I have to move them. My computer has been dead for the last few days, and I've had to do all my drawing traditionally. So, while I was moving them to get out my inking pens, I was inspired to draw these three. Computer is back up and working again, so here's a quickly-colored version of these three lovely ponies who have seen better days

Way to go, it`s really fantastic you've give them your love. It`s miracle in some ways, because there is actually those who will care about a toy, while everyone else will be with them disrespectful. I can't say much about this drawing, Β because i love it so, it's perfect.

Why would anyone cut off a unicorn's horn? There's either a story there, or someone was bored out of their mind. I love Cotton Candy's ribbon

Like when they cut random parts outta their ponies manes then fill them with dirt... Although something that IS funny, is I have a g3 baby Pinkie that crawls (so adorable, I can't handle it), that I got from the Opshop. SHE HAS BARELY VISIBLE PINK PENCIL ON HER FACE XD WHO DRAWS PINK ON A PINK TOY, also why is something that works fine in the opshop. She crawls and talks fine <0.0>

parents, friends, whatever think they would do you a pleasure buying pony stuff and don't even look for the quality. that also happened to me once. there I only say no thanks -__-;

The parents aren't hardcore collectors that would know or care what a mint-condition [insert other collector-y terms here] figure would look like. They were walking through a store, saw the toy of something their daughter was into, and said "hey, let's get that!" instead of only thinking of what they'd come for. It was thoughtful. If someone got me a ratty old Power Ranger, or even what turned out to be a bootleg, I'd be glad they were thinking of me, and not disdainful of my weird little obsession with some kids' show on top of that!
It's not the condition of the glitter on the toy horse's butt, but the fact that someone was thinking about you enough to think of giving it to you, that should be meaningful.

Actually I love receiving secondhand ponies and the thought behind them, even if they're not in the best shape. Especially the older generations-- it just means the pony has been well loved

I love finding old ponies in good condition. there I would also pay more money than I would do usually.
I would also like to restory one of my ponys (a pegasus bluebelle), but I can't find hair. in online shops the packages look so low. I doupt that that would be enough.
oh and the G4s. the tails have very low hair. I would like to make them fuller just like the ponies in the older generations. and why the hell do ponys have their cutie marks only on one side since G3? that's so stupit.
did you ever see in TV that ponys have their CMs on one side only?

Haha yeah I agree with you on that one. I really wish the G4s had thicker tails and their symbols on both sides. Hasbro is just getting cheap.

oh yeah. also with the blind bags. are the forms for the bases that expensive that they can't do a REAL fluttershy shape? then I wonder why they can make celestia bases, male ponies and those thunderbolds

Haha, yes, I acetone their eyes off too. And sometimes I even have to step on them to break the glue. And I cut their necks... ^^ And to top that: I deboxed G3 to customize them (it's hard to get perfectly white ones)
I'm a MONSTAAAAR!!! *giggles*
But they are smiling the whole time! And I check on rarity index first. Promised!
Also I always try to make them pretty, cool or unique. So far no pony complained!
