Mort is definitely a good beginning if you want to get into the Disc World series
personally I love any scene with Death, but... well, him as a main character just makes the book WIN.

LOL I read.... like most of them (still can't find Colour of Magic, but fortunately I know what it's about 
and all the other books that stand up on their own......!
there are simply too many books to choose from.
I can tell you my favorite character though <3
