Overview“I grew tired of the endless battles I once craved. I wandered, abandoning my Kin as they continued Absalom's world shattering crusade. That decision saved my life.”

Ash is an ancient Nephilim, often referred to as the Seventh Born recognizable for having a graceful beauty matched by a feral savagery, and a cunning intelligence. A bit of an enigma; she keeps her personal agenda and goals to herself — considering that she even has any at all to begin with. She admits that despite her battle lust she grew tired of Absalom’s crusade across Creation and willingly left it behind. This action saving her from the culling of the Nephilim Horde.

Even before her reappearance via Serpent Hole and discovering that her race had been reduced to “The Four” by order of the Charred Council, Ash carried little respect for the Charred Council, which grows to near open disdain after finding out that they ordered the Culling of her Nephalem Brothers and Sisters. Initially she blames Death for the betrayal, but quickly relents after discovering he hid the Souls of their Kin, feeling he had a good reason to do so.

BiologyOriginAfter Lilith molded the first of the Nephilim from the mingled remains of Angel and Demon which, in turn, triggered the mating of angels and demons to spawn them by instinct. Absalom was the first, with Ashe being considered the seventh. While Lilith is considered by all Nephilim to be the Mother of the Nephilim, Ash acknwledges that her birth mother was an angel who was cast out from heaven after her "corruption" was discovered. Ash was born on an a world once known as the Emberwylds before it was turned to Ash during the war between Heaven and Hell. She claims that Hell took control of the ravaged world, and she grew up in the Arena build upon the ashes. It was Absalom and Death that pulled her from the Arena, and since then she had traveled with them to gather other Nephilim. Of the two Death acted as her teacher, and it was under him she learned how to read and write.

Ash charged with Absalom across creation, and while she broke countless worlds with her brothers and sisters, often stood beside Death, acting as their crafter, and assisted in the birth of many weapons and likely the Grand Abominations. She also assisted in the sealing of the Abomination Vault. Eventually Ash grew tired of Absalom's endless crusade. By the time Absalom had set his eyes on Eden and taking it from the dust born humanity, Ash had already had enough leaving the Horde all together and disappearing into unknown corners of Creation, likely tresspassing into either the Abyss or the Void for a time before resurfacing later.
It is this action that unknowingly saved her from the Culling of the Nephilim by The Four.

It was sometime during this that Ash came to the Far Fields, meeting the mysterious Horsemaster and aquired a steed ito travel with, the ancient beast she bonded became known as Remnant.

Genesis

Ash only learned of the Culling shortly after it was carried out by a now masked Death who still carried the Amulet at the time. Initially angry, and saddened by the betrayel; Ash asked Death if he would kill her as well. It was his silence that answered her, and though he never released his grip upon his weapon, he never raised it either; and chose to leave, asking Death to to take care of himself and the others.
