Description Last weekend I went to the Hina Matsuri festival (girl's/spring/doll festival) at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. I snapped a few photos while there.

The top left photo shows a traditional doll display showing the emperor and empress at the top and various attendants, carts and belongings on the descending levels.

The top right photo is a close up of the emperor and empress.

The bottom three photos is actually what I believe to be a permanent display, showing the old life in a seaside Japanese village. There was a lovely fish marked with an adorable kitty sitting on the roof, but that photo turned out blurry ;_;

Anyways, the detail in that display is simply mind boggling. It's difficult to see, but in the bottom right picture on the docks in the canal are two maiko entertaining patrons with a meal.

FULL VIEW PLEASE TO SEE THE DETAIL!
