Description Stand #1:

KARINUI
This is how a kimono begins. A karinui is a kimono that is unfinished. The fabric has been cut from the kimono bolt, and lightly stitched together to show how the patterns would appear when finished. The kimono would still need to be properly sewn before being worn.

This particular karinui is meant for a young girl, likely less than 10 years old. It features beautiful weeping cherry blossoms and mandarin ducks.
