Description
Vitch has been dreading this moment since he arrived in the Afterlife. He has reunited with his best friend. A friend who had died at the hand of a group of bandits, that attacked the village they grew up in several years ago. A death that Vitch has felt responsible for. A death that changed who he was and shaped the path he took in life. He could barely look his friend in the eye; too ashamed of himself for what he had become.
His friend has been in the Afterlife for some time now and seems to have much knowledge on how the world works. He's grown since the last time he saw him; matured. He asks Vitch to removed his cape in order to confirm something. Vitch reluctantly does what his friend requests and reveals a strange mark around his neck. His friend explains that everyone in the Afterlife is given a mark of death somewhere on their body. The mark gives an indication as to how that beast had died in their previous life. With great concern, his friend asks Vitch what the cause of his death was. Vitch now finds himself in a difficult position. He wants to explain what led to his death, but doing so could lead to his friend finding out all the horrible things he's done since the two parted ways. He's going to want to know what led to his murder, who was responsible and what their motivation was. He doesn't want to lose his friend again. What should he tell him?
Note from Kuro: The mouse friend is not Mattimeo, but it is intentional that he resembles him. Vitch never was too fond of Mattimeo. I wonder why.
