I finally drew Juri again! She came out recently in Street Fighter V so it was a good opportunity to revisit her.I drew her in the new costume. Has a very distinct feel from the old one. I tried to make it look nice. :3
This idea of rain came up from random experimentation. It looked promised so I went all the way and did the wet fabric effects and all. I'm pleased with the result!
I'm also pleased with how I managed to capture Juri overall.

I've heard someone else say that and it's a bit weird. Like, this *is* her official outfit, I didn't censor anything. :d
In the first illustrations in story mode she did have the the black part missing on her chest, but since then they tweaked her design a little and this was one of the changes.
And honestly, I'm glad they changed it, as I'm not very fond of how the legs look without the black fabric. The chest part looked okay, but the legs were a mess. She looked like a weird hobo, or like some maniac went and cut up her pants. I can definitely see why they iterated on that design and made it like it is now. :>

Yep, Juri has this sinister, sort of sadist personality, so she wears some intense smiles. I tried to captured some of that while making her somewhat cute. :>

Thanks! Fun fact, the background was initially mostly deep red. But some folks suggested I try lighter colors, and as I experimented more stuff I came up with this. :>
