Queen Elinor was the youngest of the so-called "Black Brides" - Three young widows of Meagor the Cruel's enemies. He married all three in one single wedding ceremony for the sole purpose of producing an heir. She had previously been married to Ser Theo of House Bolling and had by him three sons; all of them were sent away to be fostered when she married Maegor.
When Tyanna of the Tower, Megor's third wife, was arrested and confessed to poisoning Alys Harroway's unborn child, she also admitted to poisoning the unborn children of all three of Maegor's "black brides" as well. Elinor was the last to give birth - Three months after Tyanna's execution. Her child was said to be eyeless, and have tiny black wings.

After King Maegor's reign ended, Elinor renounced any claim to nobility and took holy orders, becoming Mother Elinor of the Lannisport Motherhouse.
