I've been wanting to do this for ever and a day - today I finally got arount to it.These planets are 1000x1000px each.
If you want bigger planets or need more personalized planets, I suggest you go read `alyn 's planet reation tutorial. While these have been made by me with my own "way of doing things", the basics still are from `alyn and he can explain the process better than anyone else

Clarifying Clipping MasksAs a newbie to Photoshop, if you would just mention the word βmask,β my eyes would glaze over, and my mind would become this muddled mass of confusion.Β But as time has passed, Iβve learned to use a variety of the masks in Photoshop, and they are very helpful. However, my favorite is the Clipping Mask.
First, let me explain how a clipping mask works. If you have a manipulation with several layers of cutout stock, but you want to make some sort of change to only one of these cutouts or pngs, without a clipping mask itβs extremely tedious. You pretty much have to either make permanent changes, or work in a separate file. This makes it difficult to experiment with colors, hues, and other things offered by adjustment layers. So the mask literally βclipsβ to this cutout or png layer and whatever you do on the layer thatβs clipped to the original cutout will only appear on that cutout.
