Since you mention Disgaea, it depends because some are fairly easy, and some are crazy hard.

It's not too hard to play; just to get all the hidden bosses and levels

I heard about that endless leveling in disgaea to,probably why that game and that "z.h.p unlosing ranger" thing are so close,th endless grinding,lol,i think the disgaea characters make a cameo in that game to when you get to the end and kick your ass

well I hear its really not for a grindlover,apparently you go face the final boss then you die,come back grind some more,die and so on and so forth,so the whole gameplay is grinding,lol,but hear its really epic to do,then you finally beat the boss and then the disgaea people come in and kill you again,such a weird game,the trailer was hilarious xD
