Its getting cold tonightYou should know I don't wanna fight,
So I'll make this easy for you.
Tonight, its her or me.
My bags are packed, I'm set to leave.
Didn't want to do it like this,
But its how it has to be.
One last time...
I'll make dinner,
Do the dishes,
Feed the cat,
Feed the fishes.
When you get here,
I'll be gone.
You'll be lonely before long.
I'm watching X-Men at my mother's,
Just caught up with both my brothers,
And someone's on the phone for me.
Told them to say I'd had to leave.
You hung up, I had some tea,
And watched the stars again.
They told me...
Just hold on now,
Just let him go.
He had his chance
And he said no.
One day soon,
He'll hear this song.
He'll be lonely before long.
Someday soon I hope you'll learn
Every love will have its turn.
You weren't mine
I'm not yours,
But life still has some other doors
And oneday soon I know that I'll find mine.
If you've wondered,
Yes I found him
And I must confess,
I'm completely astounded
That there was someone out there
Designed just for me.
You can scheme,
You can whine,
But you won't get me back this time,
Which is why I wrote this song.
