It's 11:00 am UTC+1. Exactly 100 years ago ended Fiirst World War. Conflict that took lives of over 8,5 millions lives and drastically changed shape of our world.Probably no participants of the Great War are alive today. Due to 100th anniversary in last 4 years we could observe rise of interest in history of WW1,
however soon it will be pushed back into meaingless for average person stack of some irrelevant historical facts where it stayed in last decades.
We should not let that happen. Let's keep the history of WW1 participanrs and victims alive.

My goodness... this is so true. WWI will be all in the headlines for a little while then it will be forgotten once again. There is such a detachment from history nowadays... especially will the younger generations. I pray that such a conflict will never come again, but in the end only the individuals can change their own hearts.

Yes, I remember how in high school whole WW1 was covered in I think one lesson.
In fact back in days I had problem to find any materials as whole education in history
was WW2 oriented - not like it's any less important. At least memory of WW2 is still
somehow alive here because of veterans, but when they all pass away it can be reduced
as memory of WW1 too...
