Junko was a obvious mix of both. But would you prefer Celestia as the mastermind if you would? She seemed like the type but maybe that's too obvious.

Yeah, the first one to die turning out to be the mastermind...well sort of...being the actual mastermind Β was a nice twist, but I wouldn't mind Celestia as the big bad since her design aseptic and initial characterization seemed to more nuanced than what Junko turned out to be.

Yeah Celes as the mastermind wouldnβt be bad. Not as great as a plot twist as βJunkoβ (Mukuro) that died but instead the twin sister dying in place of the Real Junko being the mastermind will always be a great twist.
But still a little sad Celes didnβt have even a small part to play in bringing Despair to the whole world than being a victim of Junkoβs killing game. Sad waste of such a βQueen of Liarsβ to me.
