This is what they should have done for Pokemon Go. It would make more sense than Arctiuno, Zapdose, and Moltress.(I hope I spelt them right, I'm a horrible speller)

Its used in the anime several times. as well as used on bulbapedia.
So Eeveelution its not just a "fan term" anymore. Nintendo uses it too.
