Description aaaw a clown fish mermaid... this is what happens when I'm watching cartoons and trying to fix my hair... Finding Nemo was on T.V. this morning and since my hair was not cooperating I was fiddling with it all the way from the bathroom, into my room and down to the living room, (where I noticed finding Nemo) and then I just got inspired.... lol... I do so adore clown fish... they are SO CUTE! I'm thinking of doing a Dory inspired one as well, and maybe I'll make her blonde

Anyway, enough of my rambling... this was done in pencil and watercolour pens... hope you like

I know you made this awhile ago, but I sent you a request to submit this to our mermaid prompt for Give Me A Prompt because I think it'd be great for others to see this original take on mermaids. Hopefully it'll inspire some ideas for the other members!

aaaw thanks so much, I honestly just logged on, I'm so far behind in my schedule, and I've been so busy but I have so many sketches started for ALL your prompts. I just haven't been able to finish anything... and I don't want to submit old art because I feel like I'm cheating. But I accepted the submission though, hope it brings some fun ideas forward

Unfinished sketches are okay! You can always include "WIP" in the title or something. I've done that with some of mine too, if I thought I might not finish them within the week but still wanted to post them.

Yeah, I'd like to encourage people to post new art *most* of the time, but I really thought your clownfish mermaid would help spark inspiration in others. When it's a case like that, I'm fine with it. I just don't want people *continuously* posting old art, over and over again. Once in awhile is fine. Also, *I* suggested the old art, so you're off the hook.

Clownfish mermaid is such a great idea! Mermaids of a bunch of different types of fish would be really cool... Hmmmmm.....

yeah I know... I've drawn a bunch of mermaids and before this it never occurred to me that the sea is so diverse with different types of fish, there have to be different types of mermaids... lol
But figuring out the tails is a pain in the but though...
