Description
The European redwing is a species of thrush which inhabits most of Europe at one time of the year. It has two subspecies Turdus iliacus and T. i. coburni, in this case the bird in the picture is based on Turdus iliacus. This thrush is the national bird of Turkey. On average a European redwing is 18-22 cm tall, 20-24 cm long and has a wingspan of 33-34.5 cm.Related content
