For the love of... why is it everyone hates him? He has done more good than bad, and the worst thing he did (striking Fluttershy in "Putting Your Hoof Down") happened in "Putting Your Hoof Down". You know, the one where Fluttershy (the nicest character in the series, perhaps barring Celestia) called her friend's lives and talents "worthless and a waste of time"?
Angel aided Fluttershy in "Bird in the Hoof", "Ticket Master", "Ponyville Confidential", AND was an absolute angel in "Hurricane Fluttershy". He was only a dick in "Putting Your Hoof Down". His good outweigh his bads.

Honestly, it's because I was sketching a random fluttershy head, and she was looking off to the side and I thought it looked like she was doing one of those 'I was just caught doing something' stares at someone who just walked in. (Awful specific.) It took a little bit to come up with what she might be guiltily caught doing, and I ended up with this scenario, which I find kind of hilarious.
And now you know. Knowing is half the sandwich.

Why, exactly, do people hate him when he was less of jerk than Fluttershy was in that very same episode? And - to be honest - all of ponyville had the 'jerk flu' in "Putting Your Hoof Down".
