Description After working with other people's base maps for a long time (have to mention  www.deviantart.com/charger24 here), I decided to make one of my own. Using Project Tamriel's gridmap as a foundation to trace my own map over, this was the result, coming at a bigger size that all previous Tamriel base maps and at a scale based on the old composite Arena map made by Xanathar as opposed to the newer scale by Bethesda which is visibly "narrower" and which distorts landmass around Vvardenfell. Most of the work was simple tracing over the original gridmap, marking certain swamp land as rivers instead of open water (see Argonia), but one main difference from the original map are the waterways of Skyrim, which I changed slightly to accommodate for my headcanon; you will notice that the river flowing out from the center of Skyrim continues its way directly to the north as opposed to going east and connecting with the river system in the east. This follows the design of Skyrim from an old map from Vality7 closer than the newer design used by the team at Skyrim: Home of the Nords.

As with most of my maps, this base map is set approximately around 3E427, so the province borders (marked in dark gray) reflect that. Rivers, canals and some swamps are marked in dark blue, differentiating them from the light blue open waters. In light gray, I have marked borders running on rivers and the red pixels represent settlements that were marked on the Project Tamriel's map at the time.
