guess what!? i got it today/yesterday! it was so fun to unwrap. i could smell it before i got unwrapped. lol
it's wonderful. i touched it, but not too much!the color is so rich and i could see little details i couldn't see before-the parts that look like they have gold leaf on them and a tiny little line of red. thank you so much, i love it, i knew i would!

so happy you're happy I was going to tell you that there are subtle colors which appear when the light falls on the surface just right. that and details which aren't apparent from the photo (which doesn't do it justice AT ALL), but instead decided to let you find out when the painting arrived. I worry that maybe people will be disappointed that my paintings may not look EXACTLY like the photo but then I get reactions like yours and it makes everything better. and the parts which look like gold leaf are actually acrylic stainless steel paint coated with 20 year old shellac, but the bits that show reflect light like copperized gold, lol. I hope it brings you much enjoyment and pleasure for years to come.

it will, it does! i have it on the wall in front of me! there's a lamp near it so i can really see the warm brown tones in the middle and the gold on the textured stripe below the brown. every now and then i pick it up and pick it up in carefully and look at in different lights and then i can see the colors. i was pleasantly surprised to find the tiny details. the photo makes it look almost totally black, but it's not like that at all.
i'll always have it on a wall somewhere in my house! xxx ooo

cool, glad you appreciate the subtle differences in it, the photo really does make it look rather flat.

i just knew that it was going to be like that. in the photo it looks almost black but i figure if you worked so hard on your paintings there would be more to it, and there is!

oh, i loved the way you put "lol" next to "made in texas" on the box. i was kind of laughing over that before i saw what you had written. hee hee!
