Last month, my now-fiance and I were fortunate enough to attend all three days of Star Wars Celebration Europe (and get engaged there!). This was my second Celebration, and his first, and it was easily one of the best weekends of our lives (not least because the Wednesday before, I also got to go to one of the trade show days of the Farnborough Air Show!). I vowed I would attend my next Con in costume, and so we did. This was my first ever legit cosplay.

I made both Nute and Deechi costumes (of whom I shall post pictures soon - he's next to me in the middle pic), and we could not have been happier. SO many people wanted pictures - I cannot tell you just how warm and welcoming everyone is, and you just feel so integrated into the community, even with a character as unpopular as Nute Gunray. We have plans to make a Rune Haako costume, for our next Con ...hopefully with some better hands.
