His power level isn't really low, though. I mean, compared to some characters, maybe it's low, but it's still very high overall, and he's reached his level completely on his own. Saiyans have the ability to reach enormous power levels that humans just can't do, and Piccolo's power is only so high because he fused with two other Namekians. Without Kami and Nail, Piccolo would probably be weaker than Krillin by the end of the series.

In Piccolo's defense Kami was originally part of himself, so technically he (as the Nameless Namekian) by default is already stronger than Krillin.

You have to admit, this is pretty darn true. I mean, even before he whole Cell Games aand Android Saga bit, Krillin still had a girlfriend who was hotter than Chi Chi andBulma.
Android 18 is really hot, too, but it just humors me that the little guy is often poked fun at for being weak, and he still gets better girls than Goku or Vegeta. Android 18 and Maron (his first girlfriend, not his daughter. That's Marron) both pwn Chi Chi and Bulma in being attractive.
Let's face it, he's one heck of a lovable guy.

Yeah. What's ironic is that he ends up with a never aging chick, which is what Vegeta or Goku could have used, since Chichi and Bulma aged so much. Plus, he only entered martial arts to get a girl, so he really got his dream.

Krillin's just the luckiest of the whole cast, even if he gets pounded all the time. I mean, if there were any more girls, they'd have probably still flocked to Krillin. Of course, I mean in the appropriate age group.

There's just always that one guy in a series who is like that.
I, myself, am male, though, so I wouldn't go after Krillin. But I would still prefer to be best buds with him than with Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, or just about any other male character.

The Tenshinhan Vs. Kuririn debate is partially settled in that Toriyama says Tenshinhan has alien Ancestery. So Ten can be stronger, but you can still have Kuririn being the strongest full blooded human.

Interesting, I never knew he said that. But, I was watching DBZ the other day and I realized Oob is actually the strongest human...but he doesn't count because it was otherworldly magic bs.

Well yeah. At the twenty fifth Tenka'ichi Budokai (when Goku came back for a day) Marron was worried about her daddy fighting the big fat guy and Yamcha reassured her that her dad was the strongest man on Earth. Marron asked if that was true and he replied, "Yeah. Among Earthlings anyway." ^ ^ I just loved that part. Yamcha admits the midget pwns!! xD

I loved it too, espec. since people try to say Ten could kick his ass. Even if his power level is slightly higher, Krillin's tactics own. Both Piccolo and Vegeta where impressed with his technique when they fought him. Kuri-chan's kienzan could have killed Freezer (he dodged) and Nappa (who was told to dodge).

How to put it...
I guess because of who he is, really. He had a hard childhood, he started out as kind of a brat but managed to grow out of it, he longed for a family of his own... And most importantly, he never gave up. He was never the strongest, never the greatest or best, but no matter what, no matter how he was outclassed, he never gave up. he kept pushing himself, he refused to just sit back on the sidelines so long as there was even the SLIGHTEST chance that he could do some good, no matter the fear, the pain... or even if it cost him his life.
He's someone who I can relate to and thusly someone who always inspired me to never give up, no matter how the odds were stacked against me.

That's exactly why I loved him, he would have been a red shirt if it wasn't for him just trying so hard. I mean, when he almost killed Vegeta it was the most amazing moment, because here he was, through sheer endurance, with the power to kill Vegeta just because he's so damned smart. He almost sliced Freezer in half, too! There are just so many great stories that could never be without Kuririn. I mean, if he hadn't died, Goku would never have been a Super Saiyan, you know? I bet he spent almost as much time on screen as Goku during the first half of DBZ. He was just always there and he always had his wits about him. I know it's silly, but I think I have to watch some DBZ now, lol.
