Found a fan art pic of Geralt a few weeks ago during E3 and I loved it... had to do a study of it this weekend since the colours and the overall feel of the painting were so appealing to me. Its not a perfect study.. i can see many mistakes... but thats the point in my opinion..that's what studies are for. Analysing and observing. For what it's worth, you don't have to create the eeeexaaact replica of the painting ur studying at a 100%, but get more familiar to the composition, light, shadow, values, blending etc. its all about training your artistic muscle memory for future reference i guess. or at least thats the benefit I get from doing these.> original fan art by Bjorn Hurri here --> www.bjornhurri.com/wp-content/…
