Wow, that was intense! I like Nina but she does have some growing up to do, she's too stubborn for her own good so it's hard to view things from someone else's perspective for her. At least, that's what I'm getting from her. But everyone has flaws so it makes her seem real and I'm sure she'll realize the errors of her ways. You put so much work into these comics and it shows, thank you so much for the lovely piece of work.

N's speech flowed quite well, this is a pretty good layed out tl;dr moment, particularly the part when it uses visuals of older scenes with Nina's pokemon. part of me did wish the perspective changed a tad more, you had potential to mix up some of the details with restaurant plates and other details, but the view is consisently cropping out just above the table

I am vegan and am familiar with debate, I always side for N because I feel a deeper empathy for him since we share the same ideals. I guess that's why I m glad he finally get a fucking point because so far in this comic he was just a stupid child that stand to his belief no matter what.. for the first time he question the world's order, for the first time he was not victim of the Right or wrong argument..

Man, Nina is quite... stubborn. Uh-oh.
Not saying that's a bad thing, though! She has legitimate faults, which is what makes her (and everyone else, really) interesting to read about. Honestly, I'm probably more like Nina than I'd like to admit. I try to be open-minded, but I know I can be really freaking obstinate about some things... :/

You know, this strip really cemented how much of a bratty little hypocritical bitch Nina is.
She tells N not to run, he keeps his word and doesn't. Every time he talks to her about his ideals and what his vision of Team Plasma is, all Nina ever says is "You have valid points but these people . . . " So she never argues why people should have pokemon, only attack Team Plasma for things they have done without N doing, and then blaming it all on N for being the "King" when he even mentions he's gone to his father and she doesn't even click that N might be being blinded, intentionally, by his father to what is happening, deciding to continue attack N as a person. Team Plasma is more the embodiment of his ideals, not particularly the people, but to attack the people who are supposed to progress his philosophy into reality, in the manner Nina does, is directly attacking the ideology, not the individuals who are abusing N's vision. It's like blaming Marx for Stalin and then saying all Communism is totally bad, just because one or two or even a dozen people fuck it up.
Then there is the fact that she tells N to listen to her "For once" even though we see he obviously has listened to her. He did research on everything she has told him and hasn't found anything to confirm what she's said. And even more N is baring his soul out. He's confessing his weaknesses and doubts and telling Nina that he feels the more he listens to her and his father, the farther away truth becomes, and that he has decided to stand on his own. And then she goes so far as to call this "Rambling"? If anything, this just proves that she has never listened to HIM! He's listened to her, we have seen he's listened to her, he's even shown her how he's listened to her, but she's only said, "You have a point but . . . " Really, she has only shown that she has nothing to say worth listening to and refuses to give N even a chance.
And who is the one to run off like a little bitch? Not N, he kept his word. Would be great if Nina could grow up.

I would not quite call her that, but I can see where you are coming from. I was more showing how stubborn Nina is to a fault, and that really bites her ass hard particularly in this scene. I believe there are many people who just dislike a thing without thinking too hard about the complexities of it (in this case, Team Plasma and their members/ideals/etc), and Nina just happens to be an example of one.
I think it's an interesting flaw she has, and it works within the story for me. I feel like you have quite a large dislike for her in this comic and that's fine by me.

I like many of the characters surrounding her, especially Cheren, while N seems to have been a parallel to her in the middle of everything, now he's matured which only highlights Nina's own immaturity and selfishness, not so much stubbornness. The reason why I say that is because she never takes into account anyone else's point of view, not even those of her best friends, not even her mother. Rather, she take it out, as much as she possibly can, on anyone or anything around her and, when it's forced in her lap, she runs away. I would say that if you were going for stubbornness, you went about it entirely wrong. This character comes off immature and selfish. She doesn't care about anyone except herself, not even her pokemon get that benefit. While she's upset when a pokemon dies, I feel she's more upset because she failed, not so much as that she is burying a friend.

I will admit maybe she does care, but much of the time, when it boils down to it, Nina is more self-absorbed and narrow-minded. She does care for her friends, but I don't think she can really relate to them. She tries to reach out but then just wraps herself tighter was she focuses on her own feelings and doesn't look at anything from any other person's perspective. Not that she does it maliciously, but it is a character flaw and I would have liked to see it actually be addressed. I stopped reading this story for a while though, I have been very busy with classes and performances, that and I am sure the author still isn't fond of me haha. But I may take it back up just to see where its gone

Oh god, really? I never got back to reading really, much too busy with real life and my job and such, but wow. I'm actually laughing more than I should. What always pissed me off was Ky-Nim's entire attitude towards my response to how she made Nina. Like, "Oh that is just your interpretation, so it doesn't matter."
At the end of the day, the reader's interpretation is the only interpretation. Now there are some that are too far out there and you can write off like how Ky-Nim did me, but I actually pointed out exact scenes and situations that she drew, she told this story and I read it and I saw serious inconsistencies in her interpretation and the actual work she produced. In that case, excuse me for any perceived arrogance, but maybe someone could have listened a bit more. I love writing and for a while entertained a creative writing profession, but I prefer fanfiction when I have the time, not the stressful deadlines and expectations of real novel work. I also really hated this one professor, but he had an excellent point:
Readers are like sheep and your story is like a pen, to keep the sheep in your pen, you have to close off all the holes in the fence. Sometimes you want holes, create a divergence of opinion, make a situation or relationship ambiguous, but it only works if the opening is intentional. If you have readers going out of the pen in a place you didn't intend, you have failed somewhere as a creator. Especially, in this case, if you don't like the interpretation. Once you post a story, a character, a world out to the audience, it is no longer YOUR world. Everything you imagined while writing is changed and warped because every single person is going to interpret every little detail differently.
The nice thing with this visual medium is that she can control how the characters look, their expressions and their reactions are not just described, but shown. So she has so much more control over the audience interpretation, and the fact that not only did she fail to contain her audience with all the added comfort given to a comic medium, but that she is now forced to confront the exact issue I pointed out 3 and a half years ago that she not only brushed off, but actually got extremely rude and aggressive (even bringing a friend of her's to harass me as well) is just too rich. Almost more than I ever could have hoped really.
