Description
"...I'd rather be a traitor to the crown than to see more suffering."
The Sage of the West (Navos Decretia)
One of the romantic partner of the Twin Kings and a member of the Justice Circle . Despite being the second oldest in his family, Navos always has been the scholarly type and was eager to learn all the traditions that the family maintained. While his siblings were more specialized in combat, he leaned a bit more towards academia and later train to become a Sage, the highest title for a scholar. He was betrothed and later married King Reshai to ally with the "leader" of the Justice Circle (while most houses within this circle are mostly independent, House Decretia was considered the head of the group due to their association with Cobalion and their specialization in armors/battle strategy).
In contast to the other King's partner , Navos was known for his relatively calm and composed disposition: a well-known Decretia trait. He also rarely got angry or upset, often bringing a calming presence to those that talked to him. He was also a good listener and King Reshai was noted to call him the most reliable man after his brother. It also helped that during his Sage training, Navos was Reshai's tutor for several years, which allowed both of them to bond more prior to their marriage (their age gap is 7 years). When the two were apart (which was rare but did happen), Navos usually was studying or teaching Sage trainees.
During the Great Unovan War, this relationship began to fall apart. When Lilion proposed for the Northern Rebellion, Navos felt conflicted. While he realized this movement would fulfill the wishes that Cobalion had requested when it came to warn him of Unova's destruction, he knew this betrayal would cost them their lives (if they failed). But after some convincing from the other members in the circle, he agreed to this rebellion, and took it upon himself to announce this to the kings. As the leader of the Justice Circle, he knew they would take his words as final. Even though it did break him internally to see his in-laws lash out at the news, he stood his ground. His self-imposed blame would only get worse when he heard that the two kings had become two dragons that were now causing further destruction to the region. To stop it, he assembled the Sages to seal them away...
...while Lilion assured that these events were not his fault (and that she also was partially to blame), Navos never got over his guilt. During the 20 years of rebuilding, he researched on ways to try to undo the Original Dragon 's split to no avail. For the sake of his health, the other members of the Justice Circle forced him to retire after he stepped down from his regency; his work was later continued by the two new kings . While this allowed for the development of a "fusing" device , it would still ultimately fail. After the second sealing (which he was not present for, but the sons learned from him), Kyuvos did step down from the throne, mostly out of grief and to take care of his father and immediate family. Even though their other Decretia relatives back offered them shelter, both of them declined, preferring to live in isolation and quiet. Only a few knew of their whereabouts, which currently is known to be Route 6. While Navos's exact burial site is unknown, people theorize it is located in Mistralton Cave, where Cobalion has been occasionally sighted.

You should like, totally write a novel or a fanfiction about this. If you already did and I didn't know about it, then I'm blind...

Man arranged marriages are strange. I have friends whose parents came together due to an arranged marriage, and are still happily married after all this time, so I don't have a problem with it. It is just so intriguing to think of royal marriages where you learn to love someone's companionship and presence after the decision has been made to be married to them. It is just one more thing to think about in the world, I suppose. Cool.
I do love how you associated houses in Unova with the Musketeer Pokemon.

I just realized that their outfits are based on Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion.

I really like him in his sage outfit, and the backstory is just as thoughtful. War does terrible things to some people...

So I think your next comic should be the lore of ancient Unova, with all of these brief descriptions expanded, okay?

With this, all we need to know what was the starting crisp of the fight between the brothers (since they were in harmony, it means that something must have caused a fight between them), it would have been something that both sides tend to be in discord... but what...?

Nah, I meant to say the war caused them to drift apart. Bad wording

Oh no, I meant the brothers (what caused the brothers to begin their war) not the King and his partner, sorry for not explaining myself. It was understandable that these couple would break apart because of War, War has that effect to people (WWI (i.e.) destroyed the monarchy) and its never good.

The stories are all such sad endings. The Regents lost so much that they loved. It's quite tragic.
How it must have hurt the Regents to have had to betray the ones they lost the most.

Awesome! I love that he is so scholarly while his husband seeks the 'truth.' How fitting! Was that intentional? Oh, and he's a 'sage.' Is that what Team Plasma's sages are named for? Man, Ghetsis is quite the history buff XD Anyways, this is totally amazing, both the art and the detailed and well-planned backstory. I just continue to be awed by your nuzlocke and all of the worldbuilding that you let us see! It's wonderful, and I've never seen a Pokémon comic have this much work put into it, I mean, this might be above pokespe in that aspect!
