Honest to god, I can't think of a good reason for her being name this way. I think I only chose 'Remorsestar' for her name as her name before then was Lunastar, and after seeing that LunaClan was already thought of by someone, I wanted to go with something more original. And, well, I guess Remorsestar is original alright (Hey, maybe someone else thought of RemorseClan before me, but I don't know anyone else who named a Clan that). That and Luna is now another character of mine, and I'm not that dumb as to allow to cats with the same name to exist in the same time.
In universe, the reason Remorsestar esd named this was because her father felt guilty for her mother's death and named his daughter after his regret. In retrospect though, that's weird, as who on earth would name their child after their feelings of regret? I understand naming your kid after a dead friend or relative, but naming your child another word for regret?
But I ain't changing it, so unless me or someone else comes up with a better reason, that's the story I'm sticking with.

I think she's my favorite of my four original leaders just because of how I made her (and she has the most simple design out of her siblings, that's a part of it too). She's the only one of her siblings who knew that war they started was dumb, and instead of participating in it, she gathered all the cats who didn't wish to fight in the war (or no longer wanted to) to a mountain at the edge of the tundra that had a cave large enough to shelter all of them (which is now RemorseClan camp). Her shelter was called Remorse's Sanctuary.
Why she let a war last a whole year before putting her two sense in? . . . I don't know, I didn't think that far. But she did, and this lead to the foundation if the Clans as a compromise. Remorsestar was initially not going to create RemorseClan as she only founded her sanctuary to create a safe place during the war. But the sanctuary had existed for a while at this point, and the cats in it saw her as a leader at this point anyway. So why not give them what they want? She could still see RemorseClan as her sanctuary, it just had a different name now.
Throughout her reign, she preached peace and tried to avoid battle if it could be prevented. She was the longest-lived out of her siblings.
