A very cool concept for Gorochu! I just have a small nitpick: the whiskers might be a bit too much in terms of design clutter for a Gen 1 Pokemon concept. I've found that first gen Pokemon tend to have fairly simple designs that get across what they're supposed to represent, and don't really add too many frills beyond that. If it were a Gen 4+ concept, then that might be a bit different, but this guy was in development since the beginning.
Of course, that's just my opinion. Like I said before, it's a very cool concept. Good work!

you were going for something similar to zeraora with the whiskers hence the gen vii style? I just went with tuft on the tail (glameow/purugly) and the the magmortar flame like ears and thought it took gen iv inspiration this is just likely a coincidence on my part.

I meant technically and artistically I went with the Generation 7 art style. I didn't research any other Pokemon designs other than Pikachu and Raichu to craft this design.

I figured. I don't think they will ever show the draft of that idea. Although it sounded like a good idea at the time, I'm kinda glad they didn't went along with the idea. Raichu is more than enough final evolution.
