Hana had a strict upbringing. She’s the youngest in a long line of professional ballet dancers and was expected at an early age to carry the torch. She practiced for many years to meet her family’s expectations and showed great promise with her skills. Hana became friends with Yurka after they started elementary school and Chihaya was adopted into Yurka’s family soon after. Hana’s responsible nature is often at odds with Yurka’s more carefree attitude and Chihaya sees her as an older sister of sorts. The three of them grew up together and are considered an inseparable trio. Hana is a very bright straight A student, (though mostly by her family’s influence) and she is looked up to by her peers and often praised by her teachers.
In the months prior to a huge ballet recital, Hana worked tirelessly to be able to get the leading role and make her parents proud of her, only to lose it to another performer. Feeling like a failure and a disappointment to her family, she fell into a depression which hindered her performance during the recital and even affected her schoolwork in the following months. She decided to quit ballet and ceased communicating effectively with her parents and siblings, still continuing to talk to Yurka and Chi, however with her mood noticeably low.
Yurka was adamant about lifting Hana’s spirits back up and encouraged her to join him and Chi in playing a new game. She eventually agreed and, even though she was hesitant at first, her interest and skill steadily grew as she learned the ropes and began helping Yurka run a guild. She was never interested in games before, but progressing with her friends, taking on an important role, and being generally relied on was something that she found intensely gratifying.
The second in command of the Guardians Guild and Yurka’s best friend, Hana is the most responsible and serious member of the guild and helps Yurka to keep it running smoothly. She is initially quite cold towards Linear and the other new members and she treats anyone aside from Yurka and Chi as outsiders, however she steadily warms up to them as they prove themselves in future battles. She is calm and strict with an analytical mind, making sure her guildmates don’t get distracted and are consistently making progress. Although she is a bit irritable and bossy at times, her guildmates note that she always seems sad somehow.
As a knight, Hana’s main weapons are one-handed swords which she can infuse magic into as her high defense allows her to tank enemy damage.
