Hello, guys! Welcome to my contest journal! This is my first ever personal contest, I hope you guys are as excited as I am!
Okay! The contest is officially over! Thanks so much to all of you who participated! I'll be judging the entries and you will hear back from me by Sunday or Monday!
Everyone who entered the contest will receive a free sketch! It doesn't have to be a pony, either! ♥
I'll be noting the winners after I make my final decision, and then noting the entrants for details on the sketches.
It's been a long 2 months for me, but I'm so glad to have had this contest!
Alright guys! At 11 pm EST tonight I will be closing up my contest! If you don't have your entries in, you still have until then to put them up! After this there will be no extensions.

The premise of this contest was very iinteresting to me, of course I've heard of "draw your OC with mine" type of contest but in this case there was one character of british that stood out a lot! And that was Rising Dawn. The reason is that I couldn't think of anything cool my OC's could do with one of british's OC's, except for Beat Spark.

Why would I choose him? well, reading about Rising backstory he seems to be very similar to my OC Beat. They are both confident, self-centered, superficial, why not a bit of narcisists, but they are also brave and courageous, if they have to get the dirty job done, they will do. And they are both skilled fighters.

Rising represents everything that is magical, his unicorn powers are devastating and he can also summon a special beast if he needs it, on the other hand Beat is all about contact and approaching, this may seem like a disadvantage and it really is, however Beat is very agile, nimble and quick, he doesn't only use brute force he has brains, also he's wearing a special gear that enhances his abilities and gives him stamina against magical powers.

I really enjoy the contrast of these 2, they are very similar in terms of personality but very different in terms of abilities I liked to show that in a fighting scene between the 2 of them.

Now going to the interesting part of the drawing. The Style.
Well for this one I went full with a sketchy style and I have to say that while I have never done one, I just love love how it turned out and considering it was really rushed in the end, the outcome is impressive to me and this can be a style I want to explore more.
There was no inititial sketch or anything, every crazy line worked for the drawing and what I like of this style is that you don't have to be careful about anything or worry about making mistakes, you can be as crazy as you want as long as you put the rigjt colors in the right place.
