5/16/2010Thunderstorms were dancing and building and collapsing all across the western half of Oklahoma that day. Storms brewed off in the far distance, while one after another seemed to walk down a path towards the east. I was fortunate to see some amazing base rotation in several of the storms that I have never really seen before and at times, the root base of the storms seemed like an upside down twist ice cream cone.

In the past I had several of my photos for sale, but wasn't real happy with how this site handled the profit sharing. The storefront was fine, but in the end it seemed the site made more money from sales than I did. I had to sale numerous photos just to make $20. So I quit selecting them for prints...

out of sheer curiosity, what gear do you use ?

I apologize for being late to respond...I shoot most (almost all of my panos) standing in on spot, turning my torso while lining up each shot for a little bit of overlap per shot with my Canon 5D. I typically shoot with a 24-70mm wide angle lens with a 28mm polarizing filter.
