Description Western Oklahoma sky.

Here is a quiet, red dirt road I found, basking in the day's last light. I took a lot of pictures this day since the clouds were building into thunderstorms all around this part of the state and traveling at a rapid pace to the northeast.

One thing photography has brought into my life, is an overall appreciation of the splendor of creation in this world, both small and large. I seem to be more aware of the details in life that most tend to overlook. It sometimes seems like a curse b/c my mind is always thinking and analyzing scenes, locations, subjects, lighting, textures, or objects that surround me, without being able to fully relax in the moment. In the end, I recognize how small we are, but yet how much more important we are in God's eyes.

(Just some thoughts...)These roads seem to possess a sense of freedom and adventure that many do not understand. It is something that I find very alluring about the western states and the people that live here. The ideas and the thoughts still seem to revolve around the spirit of freedom that made this nation. In my life I am seeing many people relinquish their freedoms either voluntarily or forcefully, while others are born and bred into thinking this is the status quo and don't even imagine anything different. It's like the caged animal and the animals that are free to walk this earth without a master. The caged animal waits for its master to feed it and provide everything for it, sometimes from birth until death. Through its life, it's potential and ambition are constantly suppressed...it never experiences the happiness that those who are free experience...the will to live is snuffed out b/c it has no freedom of choice. Liberty is in the heart of us all, whether we realize it or not. And those who choose to take those freedoms in ANY manner, wish to enslave and control those who it affects. Our freedoms are not to be interpreted, period. If you allow interpretations, then essentially you are allowing opinions, and opinions are as varied as the sands on a beach. Find your road and keep it free and fight for those who wish to do the same b/c one day you may have to fight to maintain your freedoms.

The photography's amazing, but what really made me favourite this was the description.

The sheer emotion in it is amazing, keep up the great work.

Thank you! I'm really glad you read it. I was beginning to wonder if people read it and what they thought.

Ok, I simply have to like this one, the clouds are really beautiful, and despite the gray, there's still so much colour and life in it thumbs up for this one ^^

That's a majestic photo there! And I too analyze my surroundings. Especially clouds. I love them. What are the shapes of the clouds, the color gradient. I often repeat the colors in my head so that I can try to memorize them. That way I have a better idea how I can draw it on paper or in Photoshop, for instance. Very often I watch the sky, even when I'm at school I get distracted by them. At the recesses I eat my lunch staring at the sky. One thing that always amazes is the different shapes of the clouds. And sometimes they create the illusion that they'r so close, as if you can touch them, and yet - they're so far away.
Again, wonderful photo! It's almost unreal.

Yeah, if only... but whatever happens we should never make the mistake of thinking that we can... like Tom Cruise. [link] See?
