Nice shot. I wonder did the building survive the storm?

I figured I'd give you a follow up to your question...I drove by the old barn today (7/16/2009) and it has indeed fallen over. I'm not for sure when it had happened, but I was little sad to have seen it collapsed.

I wonder if the ruble on a sunny day would make a nice contrast in themes.

I don't know! I need to go back and see if it's still there. If my memory is correct, the storms were traveling in a westward direction that day which is really weird. Pretty much all our storms travel toward the east, the northeast, the southeast, or straight south in the winter. For whatever reason the weather system that day made things move almost due west. In short, that particular thunderstorm was traveling away from the old barn, but there were other rain storms that followed that may have done something to it.

I wished I could have recording the distant sounds of thunder it was bellowing out. It would be a nice addition to the picture.

Thanks! It wasn't too bad, the worst part was getting into the rain. Since a lot of the roads in the country are dirt roads, they get pretty muddy at times. I regret to say I've got stuck before when I went driving around shortly after it had rained.

I think it's bark was bigger than it's bite. Seemed to be just a lot of rain.
