honestly, i do not like spyro very much anymore. actually, i havent been to crazy about spyro in the past year or so. i play some of the older games for fun, but i do not consider myself a "fan" at all.that being said, i do not like this fandom for a few reasons. for example, the fandom pretty much consists of 11 to 13 year old girls, which results in, well...lots and lots of drama.
the fandom tends to take jokes far to seriously. like, i dont understand why you would get mad at someone poking fun at a bunch of pixels?
the never ending war over "SPYROXCYNDER" and "SPYROXEMBER" and all the other ships out there are pretty annoying. i mean everyone can ship whoever they want, no need to get angry over it~
something else i dont understand is the whole "Ember vs. Cynder" thing..? i mean if you dont like a character, okay, move on. dont make a fuss over it. personally, i do not like cynder, nor do i care for the legend of spyro trilogy. ember had much more of a personally even though she only showed up once. but do you see me going out and condemning anyone who doesn't like ember? no, you dont.
and fan characters. i dont even need to go into that.
okay everyone, there you go. those are a few of my reasons. hopefully we can all respect each others opinion here!

*blinks* I think I've been hiding under a rock o.o I didn't even know there was a shiping war in this too o.o I see this way too much e.e Sonic, Spyro, ugh just... *shakes my head* where are my favorite series going ;n; Spyro! I relly hate so The TLOS series, the story the story did not make sense and many character was so annoying (especially cynder and sparx).
despite this the music was glorius!

I call myself a fan of [most of] the Spyro franchise, but won't try to deny that the fandom is definitely a flawed, almost broken fandom. You'd think people would learn to not take things so seriously, and while I take my fanfictions seriously, I'd like to say I take it seriously in the right kind of way, but that's another story of little importance in the grand scheme of things. It would be nice if the Spyro fandom was more tolerant of other people's views, but what can you do at the end of the day?

TO EVERYBODY WHO JUST KEEP SAY: spyroXcynder spyroXember ...IMAGINE THIS ember is spyro's "sister" okay??? i mean oh c'mon both are almost HAVE THE SAME COLOR =spyro + ember = brother & sister alright ? so OFCORCE they CANNOT MAIRED yes they love each other (even cataclysm "from BIKER MICE FROM MARS NEW SERIES"...yes he almost hate his brother hairball but ATLEAST he "show some love to his brother)

I myself am a Spyro fan, but the fandtards that make up 90% of the fandom drive me insane...
So I tend to stay in my happy little fantard-less corner of the fandom

This is why I 'moved away' from this fandom..Its a little bit silly, everyone gets so het up about these things when they dont even matter that much..
Plus, some people were horrible as well. Like, proper nasty, though I guess thats just what happens.

I completely understand where you are coming from! Some people I've seen just seem to be treating them as if they were real dragons, when in reality as you put it, just a bunch of pixels. You couldn't have explained that any better btw.
And to be honest, I don't mind either Ember or Cynder. They both have their ups and downs like any other character.

here's the way i see it there are three levels. The first level is normal like you and me the middle is whn they start to go fan crazy. And the last one they just go all insane with it.
