I wasn't all that surprised by his size to be honest. However, I read somewhere that actual Iguanodons were bigger than that, even bigger than Carnotaurus.

That's probably because I wore a Dipper Pines hat to shield my face from the sun and was wearing a red Buffalo Bills collared shirt. 

I actually cosplayed as Dipper Pines at a cosplay gathering and got second place in a cosplay contest with that costume.
