Description Sitting by herself in the school lounge, a woman types away at her computer. She has that look about her that says she thinks she's better than community college. She leans over to pick up a cell phone no one heard ring. Turning it on, she puts it to her ear. The look on her face tells that she is bored. Probably her sister calling to babble on about her kids and her day like she did every day. You can tell just by looking at her that she doesn't like her sister, but her sister liked her, and she liked to tell her about her children. Her sister's kids are perfect. The woman has kids herself, of course, but they are not so perfect. Her eldest child, a young boy of twelve, always comes home with a note from the teacher. He just giggles when he hands it to her and runs up to his room before he can be sent there. Her youngest child is a nine year old girl who is absolutely adorable… when she's not ripping the heads off her dolls.
The woman sighs and hangs up the phone. She continues working on her paper, thinking to herself that she should be going to Yale or Harvard, but instead she was stuck in community college while her husband was off doing God knows what in New York where he was supposedly on a business trip for his architecture firm. She knew better though. Ever since she had started school, he had started going on more and more business trips. Having two children, and one on the way, plus school and working part time for an insurance company, the woman had become very busy. So her husband had decided to find pleasure somewhere else. She wanted to get a divorce, but her kids were rotten enough with a father. What, the hell, would they become without one?
As she sat there, she paused in her typing to consider. She supposed that if her terrible husband could go off with other women, she could too… but, she sighed again, she would probably have to have her baby first. Huh. And then she'd have to finish school. The reason her husband was always on a business trip was because she was busy, wasn't it?
