Description Digging through my dresser, I still couldn't find what I was looking for. That elusive green tie. She wouldn't accept any other, but it was the only one I could not find. As I continued sifting, I came across a small rectangular object. It was a cell phone. My very first cell phone, I soon recognized.
I picked it up and turned it on, surprised to find it actually worked. A picture of her at sixteen popped up on the screen. I smiled, remembering using this phone to ask her on our first date. That was the first call I ever made with it.
Forgetting the green tie, I opened up the phone's album and looked through all of our old photos. A laugh escaped me when the image of her great New Finland attacking her face with his tongue came up.
"What are you laughing at?" she asked as she walked into the room.
"What?" I said, immediately hiding the phone from view. "Nothing. I can't find that tie."
"That's my fault. Sorry," she said. "I found it in the laundry room. Here." She reached up and wrapped it around my collar. She tied it into a Windsor knot. "There. You're ready to go."
I smiled at her. "I love you."
"I love you, too." She smiled back. "Now come on. We're gonna be late for the engagement party."
