Aww, ladybird! What's the fuzzay thing she walking on?

Also, I've read good things about the Raynox macro attachments. They're not "cheap"; I think they're 3 or 4 element lenses. That's what I'm going to use when I start getting into (i.e. get money) macrophotography.

kyokosphotos In reply to Cojaro [2009-12-12 19:38:34 +0000 UTC]

The plant where the ladybug walk on is a old Physalis.

After that shot I bought a macro lens, the Tamron 90mm and I just love it. But I also love to shot with the cheap closeupfilter (+4) and the Nikkor 50mm 1.8. That composition makes great effects.

I never would have guessed you didn't have a macro lens! Fantastic job. I absolutely love the detail.

I have a Nikon D40x and I love it. I have never seen the close up filters locally though and there are so many out there when I search online that I never know what to buy. Would you be willing to share the brand that you use? I would really like to get a set for my camera since a $500+ macro lens is not in my future I have to get some kids moved out first

Until I get my macro lens in January I only shot with this filters, but now I love my lens

Sorry I canΒ΄t tell you a name of the producer, I donΒ΄t find it. They were so low in prize that there stands no producer. IΒ΄m so sorry, that I canΒ΄t help you in this way. I got them on ebay and there was no producers name too

what closeupfilter do you use? thats amazing I dont get such results with my +2 and +3 on top of each other

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kyokosphotos In reply to Nameda [2009-04-06 19:30:00 +0000 UTC]

mh, I donΒ΄t know which one I used here. I have a +1,+2,+4,+10 closeupfilters. the +4 and +10 I used usually. I think I worked with the +4 here and that is not the complete photo, I cropped it (maybe itΒ΄s the 100% view).

You shouldn't have told anyone it was a cheap close up macro filter... they'd never have known. Which makes me wonder about other cheap filters? Great capture, and composition.

kyokosphotos In reply to C-Williams [2009-03-21 19:51:29 +0000 UTC]

Why not? So they know thatΒ΄s not the material what a photo makes, you can get good results with everything
Thanks for you comment
