For the Lapidot Tuesday prompt on Tumblr "Holding Hands.” I only sort of followed the prompt for this one because Lapis’ hand gets yanked away by the chain. I couldn’t decide on one thing for the prompt this week, so I just drew all of the ideas I had haha… I’m still feeling a bit out of sorts from Steven Bomb 2.0 :T This was also inspired by the second Soul Eater opening.I do NOT own the characters featured above; they belong to Rebecca Sugar. This is a fan art animation.

*peridot begins to awaken.*
PERIDOT: uhhh what happened...wait where am i?
*peridot looks around with a confused look on her face and her mind in a total loss of logic as she rotates herself to get a better look of her new surroundings but was cut off short when she heard someone in a sound of a struggle. As quickly as she heard the noise her head darted in the same direction.*
LAPIS: uuggghhh.... keep it together....uughhh
*almost in an instant, she recognized the blue figure struggling to stand. Soon after she called out to make sure.*
PERIDOT: LAPIS?!
LAPIS: uuuhhhhh...... what?!
*lapis's head sharply turns to peridot with utter shock and with a scared look on her face. With that she suddenly began to go under what was to be the floor*
LAPIS: NO... I cant.... PLEASE
PERIDOT: LAPIS!!!
*peridot begins to run toward lapis as fast as she has ever gone before*
LAPIS: DONT COME ANY CLOSER... I HAVE TO.... DO THIS... PERIDOT. AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
*suddenly lapis shoots under the water with a great amount of force to pull her under in a near instant. peridot lunges forward while driving her whole arm under the water to catch the quickly sinking gem. her hand soon meets lapis's and she begins to pull with all the strength she has. slowly but surely laspis's head rises above the watery floor.*
LAPIS: peridot
PERIDOT: RRrrrr lap.. EEEHHHH... LAPIS. whats going on? whats..RRrrruhhhh....whats happening to you? WHERE ARE WE?!
*struggling to keep her above the waters surface, peridot pulls her just high enough for her upper part of her torso to rise.*
LAPIS: please peridot i have to keep jasper down. its the only way to save them...... TO SAVE HIM!
PERIDOT: what about jas Rrrruhhhh...jasper. i thought those clods.... took care of her
LAPIS: NO... she is here....
*peridot then finds that lapis is going under again as the unknown force begins to drag her down once again*
PERIDOT: WHAT?!.... what do you mean she's here? UUUHHHGGGGGG!!!!!
*peridot suddenly shoots down wards as the force taking lapis suddenly brings peridot's face to floor. her cheek pressed against the floor, peridot struggled but tightens her grip on lapis*
PERIDOT: OH.... NO...YOU DONT.
*with paridot's remaining strength she pulls just enough to see lapis under the waters surface. lapis with a faint voice speaks*
LAPIS: he helped me and i know he will help you too. you just need to ask....please peridot. I WANT TO SAVE THEM AND I WANT TO SAVE HIM...... DONT COME BACK HERE, for i will no longer be here.
PERIDOT: WHO...EEEHHHHH. would help me. what are you UUUGGGGHHHH...ta.. talking about? YOUR COMING WITH ME BACK TO HOME WORLD!!
*peridot can feel her grip begin to loosen as lapis's hand begins to slip*
LAPIS: NO I AM NOT.... perdot..... i am losing control and i dont have very much time.... i'm sorry.......
