HOKAY! This was fun >.> So it seems my best work comes from me just messing around in photoshop until something starts pouring out. Same thing happened a year ago with that "All That Glitters" Samus Aran picture I did. (yeesh). Of course here you can plainly see where I got super lazy with the shading and then fiddled with the contrast slider. Kinda wish I didn't, but that's what multiple saves are for XPSo about the image, this is supposed to be an original design for Aeon Calcos, (aka Lizardman) from the Soul Calibur series. I think they add too much miscellaneous crap to his body that really doesn't add anything to his design except random miscellaneous crap. So I simplified it. In all honesty, his story is probably the most interesting to me. (it's pretty obvious why if you know what it is XP) And I feel like Namco doesn't take him seriously enough as a character. It's doubtful his story could possibly end in anything other than tragedy, but at least do something with him other than making him a joke.
rant aside, I'm putting this up and then never looking at it again ><

Very Nice design, but I still prefer the costume 2 from SC III and IV.
Well, Aeon Callcos is for sure a great character, and my preferred as well, but, yeah, it looks like that Namco doesn't take him so serious. Maybe because he's not human and it's rare to find people that like to play with the monsters.

Great shading and anatomy here - you put in a lot of effort into this!
Yeah, Lizardman's my best character, and it's a shame that his story's not as elaborated on as it should be. It does seem like Namco's not taking him seriously - but are they taking any of their characters seriously? All the other characters spout the cheesiest dialogue while jumping around in armor more suitable for a strip club than an actual battlefield, which becomes increasingly skimpy as the battle progresses.
In this regard, Lizardman, who has no dialogue and doesn't have to worry much about modesty, has it pretty good.

Well, from what I've seen (or can remember, given that my memory is horrid), this is one of your most impressive works yet. This is definitely being favorited.
I can see and understand the time that was put in this, and that you certainly put plenty into it. I am impressed. Keep up the excellent art!

What I love about this drawing is the 'slim'-like feature& his eye intimidates me in a good way. >X3
I thought of the same too. The creator must've gotten really bored that he randomly created Aeon(which makes it hard to understand& the only visible enough for me to notice him was his spikes. XD)
And I agree with you, why do people bother making some jokes around him when he also needs to be taken seriously.
They should cut the crap of making him do stupid stuffs& stop PAIRING him up to crack pairs. *shivers*

I always thought Namco made him just because dinosaurs make everything better. Now I want to see him not be a butt-end character!
Anyway, beautiful shading Ky-Ky, except maybe for the tail, that shading looks too smooth.

I really like the scales, but the metal parts look too smooth to be "realistic" in my eyes. On the axe, that's fine, but on shield, shoulderpieces & breatplate, it's somewhat irritating.
Really good skeleton, though.
