Description My mom had picked currants (meep, I learnt a new word) and this uninvited guest came along. I found her in the bathroom, and my mom said she had (tried) to flush her down the toilet!

So I saved her, though her shell was a tiny bit crushed, and named her Shelly

This is a wonderful capture to start. The way that you have caught the pink in this photo is amazing. I also like where the snail is on the flower ( if this was purposely done ) The snail was captured very well because, the way his shell/body goes out of focus look good! I also like the way the snails texture of its body looks in this macro shot. Also the back ground goes nicely with this picture because you look at the flower and the snail and you almost forget there's a background. So very nice capture again, have a nice day.

You really pointed out a few of my own reasons why I liked this shot; your point on how the texture of the snails body stands out etc.

Thanks for taking the time, I appreciate it a lot

That is adorable! The first thing I noticed was the bright pink, such a beautiful color it makes the whole picture look so cheery.
The snail itself is just such a nice touch, I'm sure the flower alone would have made a great picture, but in combination with the snail it's just perfect. The depth of field you used is great, the snail's head is greatly focused and it's amazing just how much detail I can see. The composition is pretty good too, the way the petals seem to create a frame is great.
Overall this is a really beautiful image and surely deserves more attention!

this is a nice combo.. I don't think I have seen a flower of this caliber with a snail on it.. I like how the flower turned out so smooth and rich in color..
