So some folks on BSN’s Cassandra thread were wondering if Cass would ever put on a dress. I wouldn’t be surprised if she just attends all our parties in her armor, but I thought it’d be fun to try to come up with one that suited her.
Tried to mash up some design elements from the Orlesian fashion concepts with some of the practicality of the Ferelden designs, along with some callbacks to Cassandra’s own iconic look. Dark blues and teals rather than black, just for fun.

Really awesome design. I like how you can see that you used the Dragon Age concept art (I love to see artists trying to create their own things that actually fit in the world). I think the mix of Orlesian fashion and Fereldan is great; Orlais is where she is, with the practicality of Fereldan :3 Perhaps you could have included a more Nevarran theme? (Where her family is from). There's not much concept art for it, but of what there is, the theme seems a little Egyptian-y.

Yeah, I poked around a bit to see if I could find some Nevarran concepts, but if they exist it seems they're all locked up in World of Thedas somewhere. Alas!
So I just figured that Cassandra has spent at least half of her life primarily in Orlais, so she'd probably have the most access to Orlesian stuff anyway. I would love to see some Nevarran fashion, though.

Ah, fair enough :3 I just checked out my "World of Thedas" book because I was sure there was some art for Nevarra... only 2 pieces and they're just concepts of burial sites ;_; The book even has a page for Thedas fashion... but only included Fereldan, Orlais and Tevinter ;_; Bah!
I suppose there's always Inquisition this Autumn xD

The DA:I cast in general seems to be rocking the cheekbones, yeah
Between Cass, Viv, and Leliana I don't know if I can handle it *___* Even Dorian seems to have some above-average cheekbones going on, though we don't have many good pictures of him yet.

Do you think Cassandra is one for dancing? I imagine her as the type to just sort of hang out on the sidelines handing out death glares to anyone who tries to drag her onto the dance floor (and keeping a watchful eye for troublemakers, of course).
