Man, this took a long time but I'm very pleased with the final result! This is 4Y22J, otherwise known as Julius by his Bay buddies. Droids in the domes don't get real names, just a series of letters and numbers, same as the clones. Since people got so annoyed by saying his "name", his pals gave him a nickname.
Julius works as a farmer. This job has an assortment of tasks, such as picking, planting, washing, cutting, guarding, and distributing food plants. These guys work closely with the planter sub-branch that cooks and regulates rations. He is a hard worker, gets the job done efficiently and tirelessly, while following orders well.
The AI in his head has been developed for decades. It is close to the simulation capacity of a real human, but lacks in some areas. For example, he can formulate ideas, probable outcomes, and ideal circumstances for unique events. However, he cannot feel emotion. Emotions confuse him, but he does the best he can in a sensitive situation. To counter this lack of feeling, Julius observes human characteristics constantly and comes up with a pretty good idea for how humans act. So, although he isn't human, he can act like one some-most of the time.
Equipped with shockers, charged directly from his "heart"/energy storage unit, he can deliver taser-like blows if the need ever presented itself. His mind is also wired to the dome's control mainframe, meaning he can be controlled by the higher ups. In a sense the droids are an army in themself, being hard to kill, easy to refuel, and a good disposable entity that can take the place of human lives.
Droids are not treated fairly in the domes. In fact, they are often picked on, targeted, and abused by many citizens they come across. Although it doesn't hurt them mentally, it bothers them that they can't understand why such things happen.
Julius is luckier than most of his kind, having found a human that actually likes and wants to be around him. This said person is 5K57L, or, Sedrick. Julius and Sedrick have a lot in common, one being a droid the other a clone. Both are mistreated as less than human assets in the dome's unrelenting systems. The two are often seen together, Sedrick glad to have a friend, even they are technically "not alive", and Julius curious about Sedrick and his attachment to him.
If you see one, the other is usually not far behind.
