Description
The Alacris.
A mystical and fun-loving creature, who adores any infant or child, playing with any one that they can find.
They admire innocence and Truth.
They are said to have special gifts of perception and forthcoming. Seeing one before an uncertain event such as a battle or a birth has meanings that differ between races and cultures.

In the Lands of Bourdure, the Flame Alacris (pictured above) resides on the outreaches of the World's Divide.
The "flames" that are emitted from the cavern behind the head and on top of the back are not harmful or even real flames.
They differ among breeds and are actually the energies of the very earth that they stand on, magnified and reflected in a form that is able to be seen by creatures with flesh eyes in the form of smoke and flame-like particles.
During the day they are void of any glow and their eyes are pitch black.

Man and other skeptical races, regard them as demons of darkness, and drive them away.
But the Custos love and respect these creatures, allowing them to romp and play with their children freely and unsupervised.
