Fourth of a series of six pictures for a Naruto fan calendar.... I have to admit I didn't much like doing this one in the end; there's something about working with grey-hued images that depresses me. It probably didn't help that I was stressed as hell because it was something like 4:30am and I had to get everything finished before I left the house for the printers at 9:00am.
Notice the complete absence of any attempt at a 'background'? ... Yeah.
I think the calendar quality gets progressively worse towards the end of the year. *cries*

Heh, I would've thought Zabuza would be too bloody scary to be considered 'adorable', but their story was very sad and touching.

I need to get into this unnatural colourst thing- I've seen people do it so well, but when it comes down to it I get scared off and just go for boring, ordinary colours. *sigh*

I actually love the gray tones. It sets an intresting mood on the piece. Combine that with their expressions and it floors me! Fantastic job.

Thanks for the feedback- I wasn't planning on anything complicated for the background in the first place, but I think some kind of clouds or mist or something might've been nice... unfortunately I'm good at drawing neither and I didn't have the time.
