All Shadow needs to do is learn how Knuckles managed to kick Super Sonic out of super form, like he did at the very beginning of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Game, set, and match.

They were both fighting each other in super form, and Shadow lost his energy and powered down. Sonic would never fight anyone if they didn't stand a chance.

Tho I do agree that Shads might be a bit too arrogant for his own good, a bit of a Vegeta Syndrome, if you will. Tho I also think that his job as an agent would teach him to curb his ego and assess the situation. In time, as he grows out of puberty and stops being a stupid teen he will gain clarity and peace of mind. Not to mention become even more powerful |D

Sonic would never fight anyone who didn't have a chance to win (unless it was Eggman). The story behind this picture is after they fight, hence Shadow's beaten up state. I imagined they were both fighting in their super forms, but Sonic was able to win this time. Shadow powers down, and he's angry that he lost. Then this picture happens.
And Sonic wouldn't win? Shadow may be physically stronger, but Sonic (I believe anyway) has a stronger will than anyone else. Sonic doesn't give up, and no matter how many times you knock him down he gets back up. That's what makes him Sonic. Shadow may have the military training and the power of Chaos, but Sonic won't allow himself to go down.Β
My personal opinion is that Shadow would be VERY upset if he loses. He's always been told he's the best, and if he were to lose to someone inferior, he may freak out. I've also imagined him to act different when on a mission. When he has an assignment he focuses and is very serious, but when he is off he acts more arrogant and childish. That's just my opinion though. ^^
And ignorant? No. The people who think that Shadow could kick Sonic in the face once and win are ignorant. Sonic is the mascot for a reason. XD

You know, as they aren't enemies anymore, this should be a simple sparring match, unless Sonic really got on Shadow's nerves xD Tho then again why'd they go Super? Cause they can?
You don't actually "win" unless your opponent admits defeat or faints. Neither of which seemed to happen (and no way would Shads give up) so why would Shadow power down? xD Was he like "You know what, I'm late to a meeting, but you hit me, so I'm mad anyway?" xD
Strongwilled like Goku basically? During, say, first fight with Vegeta? xD He was SO strongwilled that he kept getting up until he got beat up to a point of not being able to move and his friends finished the job. xD Yeahhhhh. Not to say something like that didn't happen in Black Knight, where Sonic just kept getting up and got beat up to a pulp by Merlina. Good thing Deus Ex Machina superform was there to save him, right? Phahaha.
Shads would indeed be upset, as we all get upset by failure, nothing out of the ordinary there. Probably wouldn't freak out, as he knows he can just develop a better strategy and try again, but he will be damn salty that's for sure. Probably will blame it on something trivial, cause you know, denial. Or, he could be wise, analyze what he was doing, and learn from his mistake. Depends on the mood, I guess. Guys have mood swings too, sometimes.
You know, not to say Sonic isn't as full of himself as Shadow, cause oh damn he is.

Maybe I'm not explaining it well? For this picture, Sonic and Shadow were fighting each other for a while. Then Shadow couldn't fight anymore, and powered down. Sonic wouldn't harm anyone who didn't stand a chance, and Shadow couldn't fight, so technically he won. Right? Is that wrong to assume? xD

I do agree that Sonic is full of himself. But I don't think he's so full of himself to the point that he would make others feel inferior (unless that person was Eggman). But Shadow has been told his whole entire existence that he was the very best (like no one ever was~). So if he were to lose to someone like Sonic, a "lesser" being, he would be upset.Β
Well of coarse that's the case. In the games. This isn't a game obviously, it's just a picture I drew for fun. Shadow and Sonic have fought on numerous occasions throughout different mediums, and they are pretty equal. There is never a clear winner. So Sonic can't just be kicked once in the head and lose. Neither can Shadow. Sometimes Sonic wins, sometimes Shadow wins. And it just so happens that this picture portrays Sonic winning. You make it sound like Shadow can just shove his knee into the dirt and split the planet into different pieces Shadow causing Sonic Unleashed confirmed.
