Did you know that September is every shipgirl's favourite month? You know, shipgirls rarely leave the sea, as they don't want to crush stuff on land. But in September, when the beaches are empty and there's almost nobody to step on, it isn't unusual to see one of them dipping her feet in the shallow waters...
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, shipgirls are characters from the Kantai Collection (Kancolle) anime; they're personifications of ships, which makes them perfect giantesses since the right way of drawing them is technically by making them as big as the ship they're supposed to represent!
This one here is Hatsuyuki: a friend of mine is really into her, so I made this picture as a gift for him! 
Anyway, I hope you all like it!

Shipgirls are pretty nice, and it's neat you made this one for a friend. Ryuujou, Sazanami, and Fubuki are 3 of my favs. I also like the Italian shipgirl, Libeccio.

Ah, Libeccio! I once drew her, but something about her looked off, or maybe the perspective was wrong... anyway, I discarded that pic and never uploaded it anywhere.

Kancolle sounds like a joke someone would make about how anime seemingly tries to make everything sexy, but it's both real and a massive success. Like, imagine trying to explain the series to a friend and tell me it wouldn't be impossible to convince them it's not the punchline of a webcomic.
Also, why does she even bother with socks and shoes at all? She spends most of her time in the water so may as well go barefoot all the time. It's not like we'd mind.
