You're so beautiful! I envy you!!! Did you make the dress yourself? (if you did, give me a sewing lesson!) The hair piece is pretty straight on too!

I'm appalled too! Haters are gonna hate, I guess, but as long as most
of the rest of us give out positive vibes, the negative ones won't matter

I wasn't trying to come up with an insult, she's fat. I'm fat too, it's not like I'm hiding it. When people cosplay I expect them to fit the criteria. Sarah was a petite fit girl. I like your outfits but I also expect people who cosplay to have a certain look associated with the character they're attempting to portray, I don't think you have that look. This is my opinion, expect them, this is devinatart, critiques are inevitable at some point, take them as they are.

I know I'm not Jennifer Connelly' size, but then again, I'm 22, and she was 14/15 at the time.

And calling someone a cow?
Where I'm from, that's an insult that would lead to someone smacking you across the face.

Oh WOW. Your arrogance is staggering, girl. This is more amusing than anything else - I hope you like the fact that we're all laughing at you right now.
And by the way, I just looked at your dA gallery - hate to break it to you, darlin', but you're not actually that fat. So if you were thinking of pulling of the "but I'm fat too, therefore I have privileges!" thing, then it won't work (Yumie isn't that fat either - maybe because I consider "fat" to be "morbidly obese" and I don't actually give a shit what people weigh as long as their health isn't bad?). And your original argument is just as bad as the troll who claimed that non-asian people shouldn't be allowed to cosplay anime because it's apparently racist - dictating to people how they should and shouldn't play dress-up is kinda silly, let's be honest (since you love honesty so much).
And you know something? I'm a writer, which means I'm used to REAL criticism. What I've found is this - real criticism is constructive, and it POLITELY points out the positives and negatives of a piece. So, if you were REALLY critiquing, you'd have said what was good, what was bad, and if there were any bad points, what you can do in the future to make it better. And you know what? real criticism wouldn't be "eww, you're so fat!" - it would be "I liked the costumes, and the pose is good, but perhaps there could be better lighting next time?". You're not even commenting on the picture itself, you're just being insulting on purpose. Constructive criticism is CONSTRUCTIVE - i.e. it has a purpose. The only purpose your criticism has is to try and boost your own ego, while we all laugh at how rude and silly you are.
Because you know what you're REALLY doing? You're saying a person shouldn't engage in a hobby because YOU, oh great and mighty ruler of the internets, have decided that the person is overweight. That's like me saying that because you are, in your own opinion, "fat", then you can no longer take pictures of flowers. You see how stupid that is? And how stupid it makes you look? Just being honest, you know.

Which complement? The fact that you're not fat (because trust me, it REALLY pisses me off when girls complain like "oh noes, I'm SO fat, I totally need to go on a diet!" - NO YOU FUCKING DON'T), or the fact that I had to explain the very simple concept of "criticism" to you?

Honesty is always the best policy, but you my dear are just, plain rude and I feel so sorry for you, I really do
All my life I've had comments about my size.
What happened to you in your life to think that, this type of behaviour is ok? Were you bullied? Abused? Did you think, 'Oh, since others do it to me, I suppose I can vent on the internet?' I'm was a peer Counsellor for two years, and the amount of times I met girls just like you and THEY themselves were victims of some form of bullying or abuse or harrassment. If you are fat, then you've obviously felt pressure at some point or another.
I'm not angry or annoyed, in fact, my flu makes me not care much about anything, but looking at you and talking to you makes me think, why would you say something, that is rude?
If your mother asked you, would you honestly answer her?

She = me.
I'm not hiding it either, but you don't go around peoples comments saying it like that. Any other person would go onto their journal/facebook/any other social network and immediately link people to your page. You say you're fat to? So you know what it's like being bullied about your size and what you look like?
Try joining 'Heartless Bitches International', they're good friends of mine on there and they taught me to grow some backbone. You should read, 'I'm fat, deal with it', maybe open your eyes up to people bullying others on the internet.
Last person that did do that, I reported him and got him banned from deviantart for his comments on my size.
Cosplay= Fun. I cosplay whoever I wish, whenever I wish. I've recieved positive comments from fans and professionals alike.
This is Deviantart= RESPECT and manners comes before critique. Learn some and kindly (although I do enjoy a good debate, I'm currently sick so I shant continue with your twaddle) leave me alone and keep your opinions to yourself.

Oh No, I'm having too much fun. In fact, I'm going to go look after the kids, I'll let someone else take over from me, since you're so desperately starved for attention.
I suppose you've not heard of 'IP banning' then.

There has to be someone who is causing you to act out in this way and believe it's ok.
No other reason, unless you're just a spoilt, ignorant, narrow-minded brat.

Yeah, I've heard or TOR, run it quite a lot... you know how to trance an IP through TOR? No? I do. It's called "Proxy Logs", ever heard of it? You're NEVER anonymous on the internet. All it takes is a bit of effort.

Karenthian In reply to FlowerChild420x [2012-02-16 21:45:55 +0000 UTC]
Oh I wouldn't, the methods involved boarder in illegality. You're not important enough for me to draw attention to myself like that. However, big internet companies have tools that find an IP incredibly quickly if they want them... if your account is banned your IP is flagged (even through TOR nowadays, using aforementioned proxy logs) and if they have reason they just impose a block on whatever IP they feel like. Sure you can get around it by chaining proxies, but is it really worth the effort?
