Description
One of the most famous dinosaurs in Mexico but at the same time the most fragmentary and mysterious is Labocania anomala, a genus of theropod described in 1974 in the La Bocana Roja Formation, in the Ensenada municipality located in the state of Baja California Mexico. It is approximately 80 to 82 million years old at the beginning of the Campanian, its remains are highly fragmentary, with very isolated parts of the head, hip, toes and a heavily worn cheuron of the tail. It has been difficult due to the lack of more material to determine what type of dinosaur it belongs to, but the most accepted theory is that it belongs to a medium-sized tiranosaurid, with estimates of 6 to 8 meters long based on posible relatives such as Gorgosaurus, Albertosaurus, and Bistahieversor . Hopefully in the future more material will be obtained on this animal.

Uno de los dinosaurios mas famosos de México pero a la vez de los mas fragmentarios y misteriosos es Labocania anomala, un genero de terópodo descrito en 1974 en la Formación La Bocana Roja, en el municipio Ensenada ubicado en el estado de Baja California México. Tiene una datación de aproximadamente 80 a 82 millones de años a comienzo del Campaniano, sus restos son sumamente fragmentarios, con partes muy aisladas de la cabeza, cadera, dedos del pie y un cheuron de la cola sumamente desgastado. Ha sido difícil debido a la falta de mas material determinar a que tipo de dinosaurio pertenece, pero la teoría mas aceptada es que pertenece a un tiranosaurido de tamaño mediano, con estimaciones de 6 a 8 metros de largo basándose en parientes cercanos como Gorgosaurus,Albertosaurus y Bistahieversor. Esperemos en un futuro se consiga mas material sobre este animal.
