I feel sorry for Tohomaru and Noi, he always felt neglected by his mother but has no idea of what his father did to his brother and it caused his mother so much guilt she probably felt like she couldn't and didn't deserve to be a mother. All of their misery is his father's fault and they both died in the end, making his father's sacrifice of Hyakkimaru all for nothing.
