Guess who just finished watching Cowboy Bebop? And was left totally depressed and completely obsessed afterward? MEEEE~

This show. It’s one of the best science fictions I’ve ever watched, and the animation is GORGEOUS. I could have done without the few awkward… …ehm…smexy parts, but other than that, I managed to marathon the entire series (and movie) in about three days. I was totally sucked in. This show is great, and I highly recommend!

I was bombarded by many feels during my great adventure in watching Cowboy Bebop, and the one that got me the most, and that I want to focus on, was the ending. The feeeeels. After a slow build up to the point of finally locating each other after years of separation and not knowing if the other is even alive, Spike and Julia are reunited.

And then Julia dies. Like an hour after their reunion.

WHAT. THE. HECK, SHINICHIRO WATANABE. How could you do that! It’s brilliant, but how could you create such a beautiful scene and make me feel so broken? Julia hardly had any screen time in the show, and yet, her death was the most gut wrenching scene in the whole series. And Spike’s reaction and actions after… geeeeez. AND THE ANIMATION. GALKDGHSDFL. I could go on for quite awhile about the series and these two. But I shall stop myself.

So here’s some Spike and Julia (Spulia?) fanart, because this show seems to have a stagnant fandom, and it needs more praise. Also, AU headcanon in which Spike and Julia go on to be a badass married bounty hunter couple. Because Spike deserved to be loved and live on with Julia.
