The title just popped into my head a while ago, and I thought that'd made a neat painting.
I really like sparkly things, so of course I'd love to paint some gems.The little critters in the trees are sugar gliders. We have a pair of them at work, and they are just DARLING. There's a bunch of videos of them on YouTube if you wanna see for yourself.
Done with watercolor and gouache. I had wanted to add some texture to the tree branches with my black pen, but I thought that'd be over-doing my black outline.

oh wow i love sugar gliders to death! i've wanted a pair for a while but my dad said wait till i move out first haha - we've had bad experiences with rodents.
(and my dad didn't see the difference between rodents and marsupials haha)

Sugar gliders are illegal to own as pets where I live. 
Every time I have one of that out to snuggle or play with, someone asks me what they are, and I'm amazed so many people don't know what a marsupial is.

i have wanted to volunteer in an animal shelter, i am gonna try to volunteer once or twice a week next year. (hopefully)

Our petting zoo is a bunch of farm animals; we got a bunch of goats, a sheep, a pig, a horse (
It's great having a barn there because sometimes people actually drop off goats or horses.
Inside the main building we have an iguana and the sugar gliders. We just got a hedgehog recently, too.
The sugar gliders currently live in a medium-sized aquarium. Today, one of the ladies was telling me that we got a new cage for them that's really big and tall so they have room to jump around.

Yes.
How it works is that people surrender their animals to the county for whatever reason, and if the animal is of decent health and is friendly, it gets put up for adoption. Some people bring in strays, and we get whatever strays the animal control officers find while on duty.
We take in any domestic animal--cats, dogs, critters, livestock, etc.

Yup.
I didn't care much for Shadow's solo game; my cousin and I pretty much laughed AT the game as I played it. Also, I don't mind cursing at all.
Sonic Adventure 2 is MUCH better (I've been a Sonic fan since 1994, BTW).

Ya, i kinda laughed at it too XD...i dont mind the cursing at all, either, besides me and MY friend laughed at it too 'cause when he dies he kept saying, "DAMN, not here!" so my friend kept telling me to make him die by getting killed by Eggman's robots or falling of a highway into oblivion XD
I was practiclly obsessed with Sonic since 2000 (not a very long time), I stopped liking it that much in 2004, but I'm still a BIG Shadow fan!

My one sister who in college has a roommate with a bunch of sugar gliders...and other obscure cute pets. Really nice pic! The gems really look shiny and pretty, great work~
